      Meeting with Erste Group Bank AG representatives
      The International Banking Division held a meeting with representatives of Erste Group Bank AG who travelled to Iran along with the Austrian trade delegation, headed by Austria's President. The meeting included discussions regarding co-operation opportunities emerged after the JCPOA and the possibilities of restoring and expanding correspondent banking relationship between the two banks. Erste Group Bank AG was founded in 1819 as the first Austrian savings bank. Around 46,000 employees are serving over 16.2 million clients in 2,700 branches in 7 countries. Erste Group is one of the largest financial services providers in Central and Eastern Europe.  The representatives of that Banking Group announced that upon full relaxation of the sanctions against Iranian banking system, they will restart business co-operations with Parsian bank, particularly to support the trade finance activities between Iran and Austria.
