      Specialized Meeting for Financing SMEs to Remove Obstacles to Production with the Effective Help of Parsian Bank

      The specialized meeting for financing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) was held by Islamic Banking Training and Research Center of Parsian Bank at the IRIB International Conference Center on 27 February 2018.Mangers of Parsian Bank, the General Manager and Board of Directors of Barakat Foundation, Faculty Members of universities, and other scholars attended the meeting.

      According to the report published by the Public Relations Department of Parsian Bank, this meetingwas held to discuss challenges and successful experiences in financing SMEs as well as business strategies and the effects and models suggested for financing SMEs and had the following speakers: Seyed Ali Mousavi, member of the Board of Directors of Barakat Knowledge-Based Institute,delivered a lecture on “Financing through Crowdsourcing.” Mahmud Botshekan, Faculty Member at Universityof Isfahan, dwelt on the subject of “Considerations Regarding the Effect of Using Internal Ranking Models in Basel II Standardized ApproachonFinancing SMEs.” Mahmud Moradi, Faculty Member at University of Guilan, gave a presentation on “Analysis of Challenges Faced by SMEs in Acquiring Effective Financing and Suggesting Strategies by Drawing on Successful International Cases.” Finally, Amir Azizi, PhD candidate of Economics at University of Tehran talked about “Financing SMEs and the Need for Presenting Approaches Based on Financial Technology.”
